Local Number Portability

Save time and effort with NSG's new Local Number Portablility (LNP) System. Now you can leave behind the paper trail and be more productive while NSG's LNP System does the automation, record keeping, and reporting for number port-out requests.

Easy to use online forms are available for CLECs to submit CSR, LSR, Returning Numbers, Coordinated Hot Cut, Simple Port, and Supplemental LSR requests.

Customer information is automatically queried via an interface with the Telco's billing system. This includes the Customer name, address, account status and phone features on the account. This information is then automatically compared with the information submitted by the CLEC.

CLECs are automatically notified via email when accounts are verified or rejected.

Emails are sent to Telco personnel when manual number porting is required.

NSG provides automatic emailed reports to Telco personnel:

  • Daily report of Local Service Requests (LSR) port out requests received
  • Daily report of completed LSR ('Active' in NPAC)
  • Detailed weekly and monthly reports showing all ported numbers by exchange and by CLEC
  • Monthly summary report with all activity

NSG's LNP system will:

  • Compare customer number data fields with CLEC's information
  • Track LNP records using the LNP Client website
  • Allow CLEC to submit information for comparison
  • Store data in LNP database accessible by Telco personnel

LNP and SAM provisioning

NSG's Service Automation Master (SAM) may be used in conjunction with LNP to perform switch provisioning tasks. This includes automatically adding a 10 digit trigger or 'port' option to ported numbers in your switches, and executing 'port-out number' switch commands for completed LNP requests. SAM is a separate product that can also provide flow through provisioning of service orders from your billing system to your switches, Voicemail, DSLAM, and other equipment.

The trend of more ported number requests is increasing. Avoid the cumbersome, manual paper process and automate these portability requests. You need a system to manage this process efficiently and accurately. NSG has the answer you are looking for.
