Tortoise Battery Monitoring System Save costly drive time checking on central office or remote battery levels. Conserve battery life and replace only those in need of replacement. Avoid overcharging cells due to not replacing bad cells. The Tortoise Battery Monitoring board can monitor battery cell voltages in your battery string 24/7. NSG has now automated and simplified the monitoring and management of battery cell life. It reads voltage every 1-24 hours (customer definable) when battery is under float. The board can be configured to report in from 1-9 minutes for alarm inputs and temperature readings. When AC Fail input is detected, the board reads the batteries every reporting cycle. The system notifies the appropriate personnel when a fault is detected. One board monitors up to 24 batteries. There is an optional current load sensor available while using the board for battery cell operation. The board can also be configured for dedicated current load detection (up to 25 leads). The temperature sensor can be used on-board or optionally wired for remote operation. A variety of summary and performance reports are available to the system users. The Tortoise board can be run as a stand alone system or may be incorporated into NSG's Alarm Monitoring System.
